Steps for Acquiring a City of Germantown Business Tax License

1. Submit a completed business tax license application. The form is available to be typed online and either mailed or dropped off at the Germantown Municipal Center at 1930 S. Germantown Road.

2. Minimum application fee - $15

3. Recording fee - $5

4. If mailing form, sign the bottom of the form and send with the appropriate fees to:

Note: The application must be received within 20 days from the start date of the business or penalty and interest will apply.

Reporting of Revenue

After a business license has been issued by the City of Germantown, a Gross Receipt Reporting Form will be mailed to the business. The reporting form is based upon the reporting requirements and classifications of the State of Tennessee.

A copy of the Business Tax Act License and Tax Report may be obtained from the Municipal Center or the Tennessee Department of Revenue.
