The Eddie Eagle Gunsafe Program
Click Here to Visit Eddie The Eddie Eagle GunSafe® Program is designed to teach children to follow this simple safety procedure should they find a gun:

STOP!
DON'T TOUCH.
LEAVE THE AREA.
TELL AN ADULT.

"Stop" and "Don't touch" are the most important messages for the children to learn. "Leave the area" should be taught as leaving the room or immediate area in which the gun is found. "Tell an adult" emphasizes that children should seek out a trustworthy adult, such as a neighbor, police officer or teacher if a parent or guardian is not immediately available.

The Germantown Police Department can present the EDDIE EAGLE® gun safety program to groups of children from preschool to sixth grade. The presentation includes a short video program. To schedule a presentation, contact Community Relations Lieutenant Marc Molina at 751-5646.
