The City of Germantown offers competitive salaries and an excellent benefits program including:

Health Insurance
• Medical

Retirement Benefits
• Defined benefit plan for all employees hired after July 1, 2013, mandatory employee contribution rate of 5% 
• Employees are fully vested after 10 years
• Normal retirement at age 55 for certified public safety employees; age 62 for all other employees

Life Insurance
• No cost to employee
• Benefit amount is three times salary, maximum amount $300,000

Paid Holidays
Eleven paid holidays per year as follows:
• New Years Day
• Martin Luther King Day
• President's Day
• Good Friday
• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• Thanksgiving Day
• Friday after Thanksgiving
• Christmas Eve
• Christmas Day 

Employee Leave Time 
• Vacation 
   Ten days after one year of employment, then 1 additional day for each year over 5 years up to 25
   years; maximum of 30 days after 25 years of service.
• Sick
   Employee earns 12 days per year to be used for personal illness only. May be carried over each year
   with no limit on days accrued.
• Bereavement
• Military

Disability
The City provides short-term and long-term disability coverage at no cost to the employee.

Educational Assistance
Reimbursement for tuition and academic fees up to a maximum of $1800 per fiscal year
• Courses taken must be job related
• Must receive a grade of "C" or better
• Must reimburse the City 75 percent of the total amount used if employee leaves City employment
   within two years of participating in the program.
