Germantown Launches Bike Share Program

Post Date:04/09/2018 4:30 PM
The City of Germantown, through a partnership between Healthy Germantown and Campbell Clinic, is excited to announce the launch of a new bike share program. Zagster launched in Germantown last Thursday, April 19, making 10 smart bikes available for residents and visitors to make on-demand trips with just a tap on their smartphones.

“The City of Germantown is thrilled to implement the Zagster bike share program,” said Germantown Parks and Recreation Director Pam Beasley. “The Zagster service will fit in seamlessly with Germantown’s network of greenways and bike lanes for recreational riders.”

In Germantown, riders can rent and return bikes from either of Zagster’s two dedicated bike parking racks located at the Germantown Athletic Club and Cameron Brown Park. To ride a Zagster bike, riders simply download the free Zagster bike share app, available in the App Store or Google Play. Riders find available bikes and parking locations in the app and can unlock bikes at the touch of a button. Zagster rides in Germantown cost $3 per hour, up to $27 per ride.
