Germantown Community Library Awarded Grant to Expand Special Needs Programs

Post Date:08/06/2018 10:30 AM
The Germantown Community Library has a history of serving those in the community with intellectual or developmental disabilities. Lisa Hagen leads the library’s Next Chapter Book Club and coordinates activities to serve adults with disabilities. Through the efforts of Ms. Hagen and the City’s Grant Manager, Alexa Robinson, the library has been awarded a $7,150 grant from the Tennessee Disability Coalition to help strengthen and grow the Next Chapter Book Club. "The ability to build capacity for the Next Chapter Book Club is a fantastic opportunity for our community,” says Germantown Library Director Daniel Page. The Library’s ambition is that the grant will be a resource to take the next step and expand the program.
