Farmer's Market Returns on Thursday

Post Date:06/11/2019 3:30 PM
The season for fresh fruits and vegetables has arrived, and you cannot get much fresher than straight from local farmers!

The Germantown Farmer’s Market is excited to announce a new location this year. C.O. Franklin Park (7725 Poplar Pike) should be your new favorite destination on Thursdays. Every Thursday evening between June 13 and August 29, from 4-7:30PM, local vendors will be selling fresh fruits, vegetables, and other quality locally produced goods. Germantown's Farm Park Farmer's Market is a producer-only market, so you are assured that your vendors and their partners are directly involved in growing or making the product.

We have much more than the average farmers’ market here in Germantown. It is a community event. Visitors can meet up with family, friends and neighbors to enjoy food trucks, art, cooking demonstrations and children’s activities, including story time with the Germantown Community Library. Each week, you can look forward to special guests and demonstrations from community partners, possibly even the occasional outdoor cooking demonstration.

Still just a short walk to or from the Bobby Lanier Farm Park, we encourage patrons to explore the trails that connect the parks that collectively form the largest green space in Germantown. Featured parks include, but are not limited to C.O. Franklin, Bobby Lanier Farm Park, Morgan Woods Park and Oaklawn Gardens

We look forward to seeing you there!
