Germantown Police Captures Two Suspects During Early Morning Pursuit

Post Date:08/13/2019 8:30 AM

At approximately 3:50 a.m., Germantown Police officers observed a male subject wearing a mask and gloves in the area of Howard McVay Park. The subject fled when approached by officers; therefore, officers immediately established a perimeter. Officers then subsequently located a stolen vehicle parked on McVay Manor Cove and detained a female occupant. The subject who initially fled from officers was located near Poplar Pike and Burfodi at approximately 6:30 a.m. and taken into custody. A third subject was seen on a home security camera in the area. As of yet, officers have not been able to locate the third subject. The third subject is described as an African-American male wearing black sweat pants, a white shirt and a light colored backpack.

The Germantown Municipal School District was notified out of an abundance of caution during this morning's pursuit. Activity related to this call occurred south of Poplar Pike. Charges on the subjects are pending. This remains an active investigation.
