The City of Germantown is inviting residents to help shape future transportation improvements through a series of upcoming public meetings and an online feedback opportunity. Community input will play a key role in identifying priorities and selecting solutions that best support safety, mobility, and neighborhood needs.
“This is an important opportunity for residents to share what they experience every day on our streets,” said City Engineer Jennifer Allen. “Your feedback helps us identify the most effective, community-supported approaches for improving safety and mobility across Germantown.”

Topics Open for Feedback
Intersection Improvements
This survey seeks community input to identify and prioritize critical intersection improvements throughout the city. Participants are invited to pinpoint high-priority locations and evaluate potential infrastructure solutions, including traffic signals, roundabouts, and access-controlled medians.
Safe Street Solutions for 21st Century Communities
The City has received a Federal Highway Administration demonstration grant to test temporary safety improvements at three locations. Potential sites include Brierbrook Road, Cordes Road, Cross Country, Cross Village, Exeter Road, Farmington Boulevard, Neshoba Road, Poplar Estates Parkway, and Riverdale Road. Public input will help determine which locations are selected for these safety demonstrations.
McVay Road Bridge Replacement
The City is pursuing a BUILD Grant through the U.S. Department of Transportation to fund replacement of the McVay Road Bridge. The project would include environmental review, design, permitting, right-of-way acquisition, and construction. Proposed improvements include a new steel truss bridge and stabilization of the natural drainage channel.
