Purpose
The Economic Development Commission advises the Board of Mayor and Aldermen on matters that affect the economic life of the community. The Commission also advises on local economic issues relevant to long-term planning and development of the city. It also helps to promote economic stability, vigor and balance within the business community. Additionally, the Economic Development Commission helps in encouraging business retention and productivity.
Meetings
First Thursday of each month at 5:30 p.m. in the Economic and Community Development office, 1920 South Germantown Road.
Members
The commission consists of 12 members, including Chairman Matt Monteath, James "Bo" Adams, Andrew Bland, Tom Cassidy, Jason Orman, Nora Sarsour-Ismail, Kenneth Schweighofer, Ron Sklar, Robert Tragarz, Zack Zimmerman, Germantown Area Chamber of Commerce President Janie Day, Economic Development Director Cameron Ross, Staff Liaison Diane DeSanctis and Alderman Mary Anne Gibson.
