senior learning to use  iPads50+ Group

Interested in meeting new folks, socializing with old friends, eating a great meal, dancing the night away, or taking a trip to interesting places? If so, the Germantown 50+ Group is for you. All activities take place at the Pickering Center, 7771 Poplar Pike. To make a program suggestion or a reservation for an outing, contact Regina Allen at or call (901) 757-7376. 

REACH Youth Enrichment Classes, After School Programs and Camps
REACH offers healthy choices for expanding creativity, learning new skills and having fun with friends. Structured to be beneficial for students and convenient for parents, the program challenges students to REACH for something more. The before and after school care program combines educational assistance, recreation and enrichment activities offered on all full days of school adhering to the Germantown Municipal School District calendar. Environmental Education
Environmental education programs are offered to help the community learn more about the great outdoors and how to be good environmental stewards. Hands-on learning activities are also available for classroom or field trip experiences. Classes are designed for children ages 6 to 13 and are facilitated by park rangers. Classes can be held in the classroom or in one of the City parks. For more information, call (901) 757-7375.

Scarecrow Contest

October 2 through 22
Family-friendly scarecrows are welcome to visit the Farm Park again this fall. The rules are simple so don't miss out.  The contest is open to all ages, individuals, families, groups and businesses.  Only one entry per person, family or group is allowed.  Forty entries will be accepted on a first-come first-served basis.  Awards will be presented in several categories.  Click here for official rules and entry form or stop by the Parks and Recreation Office, 2276 West Street.  For more information, call 757-7378 or email
