The citywide water meter replacement project is now more than 93% complete. The remaining installations involve locations with concrete work, larger service lines or commercial properties. These sites require additional preparation before meters can be replaced.

Contractors will continue working on the final list of locations over the coming weeks, with completion anticipated before the end of September 2026. A current list of streets scheduled for remaining meter replacements is available below and will be updated as work progresses.

Meter replacements will occur on weekdays between 8:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. and typically take about 20 minutes to complete. During this time, water service will be temporarily unavailable. Technicians will knock on doors before starting work and will proceed with the replacement if no one answers, provided there is no sign of active water usage. After the installation, a door hanger with instructions will be left, and residents are encouraged to run an outdoor spigot or bathtub faucet to flush any sediment from the line.

For commercial properties, crews will coordinate directly with property owners or managers to schedule meter replacements at a time that minimizes disruption to business operations. These installations may occur outside of the general schedule based on site access and readiness.

The schedule may be impacted by weather or other unforeseen circumstances.
